The truly eye-catching feature of the Maori 54 is  the exclusive retractable roof with its lightweight alluminium and stainless steel frame with rigid carbon fiber covers.

 

This technology has been made feasible thanks to unconventional construction techniques adopted for the first time in the nautical field by CENTROSTILEDESIGN: the roof opens and closes in around 30 seconds, at speeds of up to 15 knots and wind up to 20 km/h.
The new cockpit also includes a power window with an alluminium frame further consolodating the the connection between the interior and exterior.
